Q: How do I reach a librarian to help me with a question?
A: A librarian is available to assist with questions and research the same hours the Library is open.
You can phone us(800-500-7747 , select Library), use Ask A Librarian (email), come to the Library in person, or try chat.
If you live in Florida, you have access to hundreds of magazines, newspapers, almanacs, encyclopedias, and other information resources. These resources are available through the Florida Electronic Library. The Florida Electronic Library is a gateway to select online resources covering a broad range of subjects for both children and adults.
All you need to access the Florida Electronic Library is a computer with Internet access and a Florida public library card. Go to Florida Electronic Library and enter your library card number to start searching comprehensive, accurate, and reliable sources selected by Florida librarians.
Would you like to know more about HIPAA? Whether you need to learn what HIPAA is or just want to refresh your memory on the details, the Library has a video series that can help. HIPAA for Healthcare Workers provides an overview of HIPAA and offers in-depth looks at the security rule and the privacy rule. The series is available on DVD in the Library, or it can be streamed from the Library website.
