Library News and Events

Hello!

My name is Ben Webb and as I begin to take over the Digital Services and Cataloging functions of the library from my esteemed coworker Neal Smith, a short introduction is in order. Hailing from the small town of Lake City, Florida, I am a tall person, and much to the chagrin of my previous gym coaches I was (and still am) completely at a loss on the basketball court. After growing up in Florida, I spent nearly ten years in the USAF learning useless military acronyms (EMALS? Electro Magnetic Aircraft Launch System) and over the past ten years I've finished my bachelor's degree at UCSC (Go Slugs!), hiked the Pacific Crest Trail and continued my education at Florida State (I'll spare the Gator fans from a shoutout). I love to surf, ride motorcycles and take pictures, but not all at once.
Joseph Joubert once wrote that, "We are all of us more or less echoes, repeating involuntarily the virtues, the defects, the movements, and the characters of those among whom we live." For the future, I hope to echo the great success of my predecessor Neal in continuing to improve our digital offerings so that our students, faculty and staff can get the information they need to provide the best possible service, instruction and administration at Florida Hospital College.

Study Anatomy Online With Netter's 3D Interactive Anatomy

Netter's 3D Interactive Anatomy is now available from the Library. This online tool transforms the anatomical art of Netter's Atlas of Human Anatomy into interactive 3D models. Users can view clinical accurate models of muscles, bones, and nerves from any angle, add and remove layers of anatomy, create quizzes on specific parts of the body, and much more.

Watch the 5-minute Quick Tips video for an overview of the software before you start, or jump right in.
